Niseko is within easy access to New Chitose International Airport, along with some of Hokkaido’s most celebrated areas including Sapporo & Otaru, as well as a range of other smaller resorts.
Niseko is a 2 hour drive from the areas closest airport, New Chitose International Airport, and Sapporo city, Hokkaido’s lively capital and a renowned cultural hot spot. The area is accessible via train & bus throughout all seasons, connecting the area directly with Otaru, Sapporo & New Chitose International Airport.
During Niseko’s winter season, we strongly recommend avoiding driving a private or rental vehicle during the winter months given the heavy snow the region experiences.
We can assist with private transfers to and from the airport, as well as the surrounding area. We also provide convenient shuttle services for our guests during their stay.

Private Transfers to Niseko

By Car
It takes about 2 hours from New Chitose Airport to Niseko.
Take the Dōtō Expressway from Chitose IC to Abuta–Tōyako IC, then follow Route 5 toward Niseko.
By Train
From New Chitose Airport Station, take the JR Rapid “Airport” train to Otaru or Sapporo (about 1 hour).
Transfer to the JR Hakodate Line and get off at Kutchan Station (about 2–2.5 hours).
From Kutchan, it’s about a 15-minute taxi or bus ride to the Hanazono area.
By Winter Scheduled Bus
During the winter season (around December to March), direct resort buses operate between New Chitose Airport and Niseko (approximately 3 hours). Please be aware these buses disembark at the Hirafu Welcome Center, and so guests will need to arrange transfer from Hirafu to Chalet Ivy Weiss in Weiss-Hanazono (approximately a 15 minute drive).
Please also note the availability of winter bus schedules varies and are usually available for booking in October / November depending on the bus companies.

Ski Shuttle Bus
Available during lift operation hours, our round trip shuttle operates between Chalet Ivy Weiss and the Hanazono ski area of Niseko, taking guests and their equipment right to the ski area, approximately a 5 minute journey each way.
